Not Alone, Just Scattered

“We’re not alone – we’re just scattered.” Berlin Buyers Club speaks from experience in creating this piece, as an arts collective whose members are themselves scattered around the globe. This message was dedicated to a core team member who had to step back due to progressively severe Long Covid and ME/CFS. It’s also a potent reminder to the millions of people experiencing isolation due to life-altering chronic illness – or because of a lack of support, safety measures, and accessibility.

Berlin Buyers Club is an international grassroots art-activist collective that was founded in March 2023. They are a small group of skilled creatives doing what they can under very constrained circumstances after COVID-19 made them chronically ill — for some of them, dramatically altering the trajectory of their lives. They spend their limited energy on seeking awareness, treatments, and justice for Long Covid, ME/CFS, and other complex neuro-immune diseases.
